Photo Safari through Cades Cove
January 27 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm ESTFree
Join us on this photographic safari through one of the most photographed areas in the Great Smoky Mountains–Cades Cove. People come from around the world for its stunning beauty. It is not uncommon to see nationally known nature photographers leading workshops here. You get to step back in time to enjoy its rich history with fully restored cabins and even a water mill. Wildlife abounds here. It would be amazing not to see a herd of deer, and it is not uncommon at all to see bears. The landscapes are breathtaking. Click here for Cades Cove’s website.
This experience is open to anyone, no matter what your skillset. Whether you photograph with your cell phone or have a complicated DSR, come join the fun. Some of you will need to be patient with those who have complicated cameras, and those with a lot of gear will need to keep it moving. There will be periodic instructions on how to take better photos, which will apply to everyone. Feel free to ask any questions at any time.
Note that there will be some walking but not a lot. We will be riding in a van or bus, which will take us around the cove. When we leave the vehicle you may have an opportunity to walk to various points of interest but never more than a quarter-mile or so. The end time is an estimate. It will vary depending on the weather and traffic. Also, you do need to register for this free event with the Wilderness Wildlife staff; click here for their website with more information. I would appreciate your posting below if you plan to come or if you have any comments afterward.
